My name is Brett May. I am an ICA certified Illinois licensed home inspector. My interest in home safety and function started when I bought my first and current home in 1999. I’ve always been a DIYer, not just to save a few extra dollars, but also because I enjoy the mechanics of a home. I have done several remodeling and building projects over the years. Every time the city building inspector needed to inspect my work, I never had to make any changes.

In parallel with my remodeling and building addiction, I have worked fulltime in the IT industry. After 26 years working for the local government as a computer technician and a network engineer, I decided to include home inspection in my career adventures.
